Professor Sarah Sharples presented the plans and activities for CEII on Day 2 of the UK Manufacturing Forum event, which took place at the University of Warwick on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th December 2019. Sarah presented alongside Mark McNally (ISCF Manufacturing Made Smarter Challenge Director), Ben Sheridan (BSI) and two young entrepreneurs – George Edwards (make-sense) and Theo Saville (CloudNC). It was clear from Ben’s talk that the inclusion of “Regulation” as a new thematic area was justified and plans are already underway to work with Ben and the BSI team on this. There are also continuing and exciting synergies between CEII and the ISCF Manufacturing Made Smarter challenge and we will be working closely with Mark to exploit these.
