Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is holding an event on Energy Harvesting Sensors in Manufacturing  on Wednesday 12 July 2017, in collaboration with Loughborough University. This event is the first in a series of activity from the new Energy Harvesting Special Interest Group, a SIG run by KTN, to bring together the challenge owners and solution providers in the UK.

The focus of the event is to identify some of the challenges faced by manufacturers, and discuss in small groups how some of them might be addressed by the use of fit and forget sensors, drawing their energy from ambient sources such as heat, vibration, light and motion.

The event is open to all and hopes to mix industry users with researchers and solution providers for a lively discussion and identification of needs and solutions.
