The Network Plus: Industrial Systems in the Digital Age was formally launched at an event held at the University of Nottingham on Monday 17th October 2016. 58 delegates from 34 different institutions and organisation attended the day long event, which included presentations from Dr Ulrike Hillemann-Delaney, Deputy Head of the Science & Innovation Network (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) at the British Embassy in Berlin, Professor Phill Cartwright (HVM Catapult), Michele Nati (Digital Catapult) and Dr Lijuan Zhang (China National Centre for Additive Manufacturing). Academic perspectives were provided by Professor Duncan McFarlane (IfM, University of Cambridge), Professor Paul Wilson (Newcastle University) and Professor David Brown (University of Plymouth).
